As a special education teacher in Hawaii and Richland School District Two, Lindsay Anne Thompson taught students in grades Pre-K through 12 with varying levels of disabilities. This classroom experience enables Ms. Thompson to understand the practical realities of the day-to-day issues affecting school districts, especially as they relate to special education students. At DWT, Ms. Thompson focuses on student matters, special education topics, and personnel issues.
While in law school at the University of Tennessee, she was a member of the Law Women Society, the Tennessee Student Bar Association, and was vice president of the Child Law Society. Ms. Thompson also worked as a graduate assistant in the special education department at the University of Tennessee while attending law school.
Now that she is not teaching, Lindsay Anne keeps in touch with young adults with special needs by volunteering with a therapeutic recreation group and working with the Special Olympics. She also enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, gardening, and baking.
